Stand on your own ground.

Solum is a computer for your home that keeps your own copy of everything that matters: your photos, email and documents, a private AI, all of Wikipedia and maps of the world.

Open source. Yours, with or without the internet.

We only write about Solum. No tracking, and you can leave any time. Privacy

The Solum mark A dot held in an open ring above a solid base: your things, held, on your own ground.

Get your data back.

Own it.

Your photos, email, documents and contacts are copied home from Google, Apple and Microsoft, to a machine you own, and kept current. Keep using the services you like. Just stop depending on them.

Keep what matters within reach.

The box also carries a private AI assistant, an offline copy of Wikipedia and maps of the world. All of it works on your home network with no internet at all.

We do the rest.

You bring the hardware. We set it up, keep it updated and advise you, for as long as you like. Because everything is open source, you can always carry on alone.

What your box holds

  • Your photos and videos

One private library, searchable, backed up straight from every phone in the house.

  • Your email

A living archive of every mailbox in the household, readable in any mail app.

  • Your documents

The files you keep in other people's drives, brought home as ordinary folders.

  • A private AI

An assistant that runs on your own machine. What you ask it never leaves the house.

  • All of Wikipedia

The whole encyclopedia on your own shelf, refreshed while you sleep.

  • Maps of the world

Every street and footpath on Earth, ready without a signal.

Open source. Nothing hidden.

Every part of Solum is open source software that anyone can inspect, improve and keep running. The way it is put together is published too.

No licence key. No off switch. If we disappeared tomorrow, your box would keep working exactly as it does today.
